Home/How we work

How an engagement actually runs.

No hourly meter, no surprise invoices, and nothing reaches production without a diff, a test, and your sign-off.

The CSF Method

Map. Design. Build. Run.

Four stages, in this order, on every engagement. Nothing reaches production without a diff, a test, and your sign-off.

Map

We trace your line from lead to closed books, pull the real numbers, and find where money and time leak. You get a written plan ranked by payoff.

1 to 2 weeks

Design

One page: what gets built, what it costs, when it lands. A fixed fee, agreed before any work starts.

Same week

Build

Built and tested in a copy of your org. Your team clicks through it before anyone in the field sees it.

2 to 8 weeks per sprint

Run

Released with a rollback plan, watched by agents, and supported by the architect who built it.

Ongoing

Engagements

Three ways to work together.

Most clients start with the audit and move to a monthly retainer once the first build lands.

Fractional Systems Lead

For companies that need a systems team but not a payroll line for one.

  • Monthly hours for fixes, new builds and questions
  • Agents monitoring your org around the clock
  • Morning brief and monthly books-close support
  • A direct line to the architect who built it. No ticket queue.

Questions

Things owners ask first.

We're on QuickBooks Desktop, not Online. Does this still work?
Yes. We run two-way sync for both, with the same error triage and reconciliation dashboard. If you are planning a move from Desktop to Online, we handle the cutover.
We don't have Salesforce yet. Is it too much for a company our size?
If you have repeat customers, a team delivering the work, and a bookkeeper, it pays for itself. We scope the smallest build that removes the most re-typing first, then grow it.
What does "you own everything" actually mean?
Every object, flow, class and script is in your org and in a repository you control. Runbooks and training videos are yours. If you ever leave, nothing stops working.
Can you work alongside our admin or another vendor?
Yes. We often work next to an internal admin, an IT team or another partner, with clear ownership of what we build and documentation your people can maintain.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. Most work is remote. Clients get on-site time when it helps, for example during a billing go-live.
How do you charge?
Fixed fees for the audit and for each build sprint, quoted in writing before work starts. Retainers are a flat monthly amount with an agreed hour block. No surprise invoices.

Start with the audit.

One to two weeks, a written plan ranked by payoff, and the fee is credited toward your first build.
